I know how significant duplicating estimates are, so you'll save time in entering similar transactions in another estimate, koanbuilders. I've got the steps so you can duplicate the estimates in a new way.
In QuickBooks Online, the duplicate feature is unavailable in the options in the All Sales tab. However, there's a new way to make a copy of the estimate in the updated program. You can refer to the steps below for guidance:
Furthermore, you can convert the estimate directly to an invoice to save time from entering the information and keep your books accurate.

Ah, I dug around and found it. To clarify for others: between steps 2 and 3 you may need to click a gear icon that says "Manage". Then within that sidebar there is the "Actions" dropdown. Lots more steps than this used to be but glad to see we can still copy estimates!
The only way this works is if we select "Old Layout"
How do we duplicate an Estimate with the "New Layout"?
Hello there, @ReflectionsWLS.
I understand the importance of duplicating your estimates. Allow me to share insights on how it works in the new layout so you can add the details of your transactions.
QuickBooks Online (QBO) has features that could help your business grow. However, duplicating your estimates is currently unavailable in the recent updates. However, you can follow the steps provided by my colleague, JuliaMikkaelaQ on how to make a copy of the estimate in QBO.
Currently, you won't be able to switch to the new experience once you're back on the old one. Rest assured that this capability will be available in the future.
I’ll be sharing these resources that will guide you in sending estimates and converting them to an invoice:

Make a Copy is indeed buried under the MANAGE button. Why?? Please add the option under ALL SALES-->ACTIONS
Hello there, mishamazor, I understand that you find the Make a Copy option useful when creating duplicate estimates. Allow me to assist you further and give you the best route to isolate this quickly.
Recently, QuickBooks Online has undergone some updates which have changed the location of the Make a Copy option in the Manage button. Therefore, I suggest sending feedback to our engineers to consider making changes in future updates.
Here's how:

How can you possibly think this is better for your customers?
You took what was a 2 click process and turned it into a 5 click process. Please try to make things easier not harder.
If you go to work and your computer is always set up on your desk but every so often, when you come to work the furniture is rearranged. Once you find your desk you realize your computer is not there. You have to go looking for your computer because someone decided it would be better for you if you went to another desk and got your computer and brought it back to your desk. Would you think that’s an improvement? This is what QB does with their unannounced random updates that complicate everyday tasks. Please. Simpler & easier is better!!!!!
I agree, please bring this function back! I used to be able to easily choose the "copy" option from within an estimate or invoice, I don't want to have to go into the estimate list from the sales menu and sort through all the estimates there. I want to be able to access it from within the specific estimate like I used to. I don't know why QB has to mess with things like that. Frustrating.
I know how frustrating it can be when we're unable to copy or duplicate our estimate, @CecilyN. Let's ensure you can make a copy within the specific estimate.
To create a duplicate or copy of your estimate, you can select the small gear icon or the manage option. Then, under the Actions column for that estimate, select Make a copy. To do so, follow the steps below:
Refer below for the screenshot:

If you have any follow-up questions regarding the copy option from within the estimate or anything else related to QuickBooks, feel free to ask me. I'm always here to help you, @CecilyN.
The problem with your suggestion is this. After you close your books at the end of the month, you can no longer copy an estimate without giving my closing password to my sales rep which I don't want to do.
Also, and estimate should not be considered a "closed" item. It's an estimate, it's not in my books yet. Please fix this as soon as possible.
Allow me to provide you with an alternative method for duplicating a closed-period estimate in QuickBooks Online (QBO) without entering a password, Luke.
When you close the books in QuickBooks Online, the estimates are included. However, estimates are not impacted by the process of closing books. They will remain in your QuickBooks Online account and can be accessed and modified.
To create a duplicate of the estimate, navigate to the All Sales section, locate the desired estimate, and click on the dropdown arrow linked to the specific estimate you intend to copy. By following this method, you can prevent the system from interpreting your action as an attempt to duplicate the estimate, which would typically prompt a password request.
If you want to change the closing date or the password you used to lock your books, you can easily edit them by performing the steps in this article: Edit your closed books.
I've also added this article to help you with your future tasks with QuickBooks: QuickBooks Online year-end guide and checklist. This contains sub-articles to give more insights into the different types of processes.
Please comment below if you need more help with this process or if there's anything else I can do for you.
