Can't access reports in QBPOS

When I attempt to run inventory or sales reports in QBPOS, the program acts as if it is analyzing data to create the report, but then no report ever opens. I am unable to create any report related to sales or inventory, but I can access employee reports.

Can't access reports in QBPOS

Let's get this sorted out, @Kwood78.

Your QuickBooks Point of Sale (QB POS) company file may have damage. Let's run the Clean Up Company Data utility tool to fix some damages in your company file. This way, you can run the inventory or sales reports successfully and get you back to working order. Here's how:

  1. In your QB POS account, go to the File menu and select Utilities, then choose Clean Up Company Data.
  2. Put a checkmark on the Compress data box, then click OK to confirm the warning message.
  3. Click Next until you're in the Proceed with Cleanup window.
  4. Select Cleanup and wait until it completely ran.

Once done, you back and try to run the reports again to double-check.

If the issue persists, you can check out this article for more troubleshooting steps: Error: POS got stuck when using QuickBooks Point of Sale.

Let me know how it goes, I want to make sure this is taken care of. Thanks for dropping by, I'll be standing by for your response.

Can't access reports in QBPOS

Hi Mark...we have been having this issue since we sent our company file to Intuit to repair damage...it was quite an ordeal and I'm nervous about running any sort of automatic clean up utility for fear that the file will be rendered useless again. Is there a way for you to look in your notes for our account to see what was done previously?
