Can't change my invoice style?

Thanks for bringing this up here in the Community space, haitham.

I want to ensure you’re able to customize invoice style seamlessly.

Did you receive an error when trying to change your invoice style? If yes, can you tell me more about it? If not, you can follow the steps on how to set up a new template and style it the way you want.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Under Your Company, click Custom Form Styles.
    QBO customtemplate.PNG
  3. To create a new template, click the New style button in the upper right-hand corner.
  4. Select Invoice.
    QBO customtemplate.PNG2.PNG
  5. Go to the Design tab to edit the template name, logo, color, font, and margins. Then, go to the Content tab to customize the header, body, and footer of the invoice template.
  6. Click Done when finished.

For additional reference, you can read through this guide on how to customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts.

Once done, you can apply the template to your invoice. I'd be happy to walk you through how:

  1. Open an invoice.
  2. Click Customize.
  3. Choose a template.
  4. Fill in the necessary information and click Save and close.

Be sure to drop me a reply if you have additional questions. I'd be more than happy to help. Stay safe and have a good one.

Can't change my invoice style?

A warm welcome to the Community, haitham.

I'm here to help ensure you'll be able to change your invoice template. As an initial step, let’s check to see if the browser has a full cache. This can often cause errors and prevent web pages from loading properly.

To start with, please open QuickBooks in a private or incognito window. This prevents the browser from saving your browsing data. Here's how to open a private window in different browsers:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl Shift P
  • Internet Explorer: press Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: press Command Shift N

If you're able to edit your invoice template via the private window, go back to the main browser and clear its cache to start with a clean slate.

I'm leaving you some recommended resources to guide more in managing your templates as well as your QuickBooks account:

It'll be always my pleasure to help if you have any other questions. Just keep me posted in the comment section down below.
