Hello @vanessaoutland-g,
Thank you for posting here in the Community. I'd be glad to help you add and apply a coupon to an invoice in QuickBooks.
Currently, a direct way to add coupons is unavailable. As a workaround, you can add them as items into the invoice.
I recommend you use the Service category. You can enter a negative amount to decrease the invoice total.
Here's how:
- Click the + New option in the upper-left corner.
- Select Invoice under Customers.
- Add your customer.
- Enter the necessary information for the invoice.
- Include another line for coupon by creating a Service type item.
- Add a negative amount.
- Hit Save and close.
Also, you might want to check out the Discount feature. It allows users to add discounts as a line item or subtotal. Here's the link: Add a discount to an invoice or sales receipt in QuickBooks Online.
I've attached an article you can visit to personalize sales forms, like changing the appearance and layouts in QuickBooks: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.
Feel free to hit that Reply button if you have additional questions about adding coupons or entering invoices. Have a great day.
