can you split accounts when Reconciling credit cards

Hello, @manager-cwspring. I'm here to discuss some details of your concern.

The option to split accounts when reconciling credit cards is unavailable. You'll need to create another transaction, so they're separate during the reconciling process.

In case you'd like to reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online, let me guide you with a steps below:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Reconcile.
  2. Click on the drop-down menu under Accounts and choose the account you want to reconcile.
  3. Enter the Ending balance and Ending date based on your bank statement information.
  4. Match transactions to your bank statement and check them off one by one.
  5. Apply filters so transactions are easier to find.
  6. Keep going until the Difference field is zero.

You can refer to this article for more details about reconciliation: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

Once you're done reconciling, you can view a reconciliation report for that session. For more details, check out this article: How do I view, print, or export a reconciliation report.

Please leave a comment down below if you have any other concerns with your bank account or bank transactions. I'll get back to you as soon as possible. Keep safe!

can you split accounts when Reconciling credit cards

Thank you so much for your reply, I have actually been using quick books for over 15 years but the desktop version!

If I have 155 purchases on my credit card statement I am used to having 155 items to reconcile on Quickbooks, call me old fashioned but that is surely the easiest way of doing things? I do not want them to be collated into accounts. Hey ho I suppose I will just have to work with it, as online is what the people who brought me out want!!
