Can you void (not delete) a bill in Quickbooks Online?

I want to zero out a vendor's account by voiding a bill.  I do not want to delete the bill.  When I click on More from the bill screen, I see options for Copy, Delete, Transaction Journal, and Audit History.  There is no Void option, and I don't see it anywhere else on the screen.

Can you void (not delete) a bill in Quickbooks Online?

Hi @jseirp-ttholding.

Currently, we're unable to void a bill in QuickBooks Online (QBO), but we can void bill payments. I know how much you want this functionality to work while keeping records of voided bill transactions you see in reports.

In the meantime, I recommend submitting feedback to QBO. This way, our product developers will know that this is important for your business and have a chance to add this in future updates.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon on the right.
  2. Select Feedback.
  3. Enter feature suggestion.
  4. Hit Next to submit.

You can reference this article for more details: Void or delete transactions in QuickBooks Online. This covers the transactions you can void.

In case you wanted to retrieve deleted transactions in the future, you can recover some details using the audit log.

Let me know if you have other concerns in QuickBooks. I'm always here to help. Stay safe and healthy.
