Cash flow Statement

Dear QB Team,

Hope this message finds you well.

I noticed that Quick Books online provides cash flow statement using indirect method, however as a layman indirect method is difficult to understand.

Does Quick Books have Direct Method Cash Flow statement? Is there a way Quick books prepared cash flow statement based in direct method automatically and we can extract it?

Thanks

Regards

Santosh

Cash flow Statement

Hi there, @finance-gahp-net.

Yes, you're right. QuickBooks Online uses the indirect method for Statement of Cash Flow. At this time, there isn’t a way to change the calculation preferences. You'll want to export the Statement of Cash Flow report to Excel. Then, set up a calculation flow manually.

Though, it would be a great idea to have different calculation options on reports. I'll relay this message to our team in concern here on my end and add your vote for this one. You can also share your thoughts and ideas through your account. Our product development team reviews all the feedback we receive to ensure we’re meeting the needs of our customers.

Here's how:

  1. Select the Gear icon at the top, then Feedback.
