Client gets an error when she tries to pay the invoice. It tells her to try to connect again later.

Hello there, @zmconsulting

There are times that the browser is full of frequently accessed pages, thus causing some unusual responses. This is the possible reason your client received an error message while paying your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) invoice.

To resolve the said issue, you can have your client open and pay the invoice through a private browser (incognito). Here's how:

  • Press Ctrl Shift (Google Chrome)
  • Ctrl Shift (Firefox or Microsoft Edge)
  • Control Option (Safari)

If it works, let your client return to their default browser and clear its cache and cookies. This will refresh the system and remove older data that causes viewing and performance issues. However, if the problem continues, your client can use other supported browsers.

Additionally, you can customize your invoices in QBSE. This way, you can personalize the form's content, design, and email information. You can learn more about this by checking out this article's Customize your invoices section: Create invoices in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Please know that you're always welcome to comment below if you have other concerns or follow-up inquiries about managing your invoices and customer payments in QBSE. I'm just around to help. Take care.
