Copy Journal Entry returning a blank JE?

Just in the last day when I copy a Journal Entry to duplicate it, QBO returns a blank JE.  Occasionally it's returned a few rows of the copied entry, but not all.

I've cleared my cache & cookies after a quick Google searched suggested that would work.  I've logged out, launched a new browser, all the basic things.  I've used QuickBooks/QBO for over 20 years now and have not seen this before.

Any idea what the root cause my be?

Copy Journal Entry returning a blank JE?

Thanks for taking the time to post your question here in the Community and for letting me know what steps you've tried so far, Mandy Wheatley.

Since the issue with duplicating the journal entry is persisting I recommend reaching out to a member of the QuickBooks Online Support Team. Agents have specialized tools, like the ability to share your screen, to take a closer as to why this keeps happening. They'll also be able to get the issue escalated further if need be as well. Here's how to get in touch with the team:

1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online.
2. Select (?) Help.

3. Assistant tab: Enter talk to an expert.
Search tab: Select Contact Us.

Copy Journal Entry returning a blank JE?

I am having the same issue, yet my colleague is not.  Very strange.  I look forward to the fix.

Copy Journal Entry returning a blank JE?

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention regarding the duplication of journal entries, Zara.

I understand this can be confusing, especially since your colleague isn’t encountering the same issue. Let’s work together to troubleshoot and resolve this for you.

As a first step, I’d recommend logging out of your QuickBooks Online account and then logging back in. This can refresh the connection and solve minor issues.

Additionally, please test duplicating the journal entry using another browser that is compatible with QBO, such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Safari.

You can also open a new incognito window. Here are the shortcut keys for each browser:

Google Chrome: Press Ctrl + Shift + N

Mozilla Firefox: Press Ctrl + Shift + P

Microsoft Edge: Press Ctrl + Shift + N

Safari: Press Command + Shift + N

If you’ve tried these steps and the issue persists, I recommend contacting our Live Support team. They will gather more details about your concern and use their tools to help you address it.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Help menu or the (?) icon in the upper-right corner of QuickBooks Online.
  2. Select the Assistant tab.
  3. Type "contact support" in the chat box and press Enter.
  4. Briefly describe your issue and click Continue.
  5. Decide your preferred support option: Have us call you or start a chat.

Feel free to reach out if you have additional questions. We're here to help.
