creating an accountant file

I discontinued my payroll service in May, and now when I try to create a company file, it still says that I need to upload my payroll usage data.  Since I dont have any usage data available, it errors out.  However, payroll support cant tell me how to fix it.  Are there any suggestions?

I'm sad to hear about the difficulties you've been facing since discontinuing your payroll service in May. Allow me to share some insights and suggestions on this matter. 

 

After suspending your subscription, you'll still have access to your payroll data. You may open your file and send a usage data. This way, you'll have a copy of this. Here's how:  

 

  1. Navigate to Employees at the top menu bar.
  2. Choose My Payroll Service.
  3. Choose Send Usage Data.

 

If you encounter issues sending usage data, we can utilize this resource to resolve it: Fix error QuickBooks has encountered a problem sending your usage data.

 

Once done, you can continue creating an Accountant's file.
