Buy nowHi,
I've been trying to create these reports in QuickBooks but have not been able to find them or any other similar resources.
I would like to create these in QuickBooks, as Custom Reports if required, not in Excel. This is just so we can regularly and easily view this information.
The first report is to monitor worker hours over a time period. I would like a report which showed the hours worked per week over an extended period of time. For example show the hours between 13-19th March and 20th-26th March as two separate line items on the same report. I would like to be able to view this for example as 52 line items over a year. The report also needs to be able to be specified for specific staff location.
The second report is the number of active of customers over several months. The clients I'm interested in are setup as sub customers of a larger customer. I would like to see the number of these clients that had invoices over January, February … December in a single report.
The third report is on the same clients but looking at the number leaving and exiting. I would like to know the number of clients in this month, that were not in last month. Additionally the number of clients that were in last month but not this month. I would again like this to be able to be represented over a 12 month period/custom period
Thanks so much, if there's any other details I can provide please let me know.
Cheers,
Jeremy
It's nice to have you here in the Community, jeremy002.
QuickBooks Online has various reports you can customize to suit the data you want to see. Allow me to share some information on how this works.
While there is yet to be a specific report that meets your needs, you can run the Payroll Details report to show the total hours at the bottom part of the report. You can select the employee's name at the top to show their summary.
Here's how:
Consider checking out this article for the information available in QuickBooks: Understand reports.
If you want to save the current customization settings of your report, you can memorize them. Check out this article for your reference: Memorize reports in QuickBooks Online.
Feel free to post again if you have further concerns running your reports. Have a great day ahead.
Hi thanks AbegailS_ I've had a few issues with this.
I cannot find the 'Payroll Details' report. In the top right search I have no reports containing the term payroll. Under the label 'Payroll' on the Reports section I also have no reports with relevant information. Under the Employeers --> Reports I also do not have a report named 'Payroll Details'. I also do not wish to search the hours worked by a single employee. I want to be able to see the growth in employee hours over time. In the same way that a P&L reflects the growth of the business, I wish to also see this through employee hours. I also want to only look at a specific location of our business. (The location is already set up)
The customer report is also not what I was after. I want a break down of customer numbers by month, not the invoice values or invoice numbers over a period. I also again want to use this to see general trends. I want to find a way to see how many active customers (customers who had invoices) we had in Jan, Feb, March, etc. and observe the trends as this goes. Again like a P&L represents trends.
Thanks again, hoping to solve this as it's an essential measure of our business growth.
Hi there, jeremy002.
Thanks for getting back to us. Allow me to jump in and share information about the reports you'd like to pull up in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Currently, the ability to customize the reports in QBO to display all the information you mentioned above is unavailable.
In addition to what my colleague provided above, the closest report that I can think of based on the details you've shared are the Time Activities by Employee Detail (for the first report) and the Sales by Customer Summary (second report).
I can see how having these reports would be helpful for you and your business. While they aren't available yet, I highly suggest sending feedback directly to our product developers. They're always looking for ideas to consider on how to improve QuickBooks.
Here's how to submit feedback:
