Buy nowI am treasurer of a 100% volunteer (no payroll) non-profit. Five stars for the dashboard and bank interface.
Two stars for reporting. QB online reporting does not meet expectations and falls short of QB Desktop. For reporting purposes, Intuit appears to just substitute the term donors for customers. Our donors are classified as corporate donors, fundraising sponsors, and individuals’ donors. We also collect nominal fees for various programs for cancer survivors. I want a report that I can run that list by date, “received by” (name of donor), and amount by category. There may be multiple donors or program fees with each deposit. In QB Desktop, there were ways to customize the reports and I could easy get information. I already asked for assistance from the QB experts and they agree with me that it is a failure in the report design by Intuit. It seems odd that this basic information is not easily obtainable with current reports.
Given that Intuit is making a change with the business and accounting views, I urge them to make improvements with reporting. Reporting needs are not the same for all companies.
