I'm trying to only show the customers who owe money in a summary (it's actually a small group of condo owners) and I want to show just the list of people who have open balances.
Customer balance summary works but it also show people who have credits which is confusing people.
I tried to add a filter to only put amounts greater than zero but it shows amounts that totally make no sense.
Is there something else I can do?
Good day, Sziskind.
Allow me to help you with viewing your customer open balance within QuickBooks Desktop.
You can pull up and run the Open Invoices to show all customers with open balances. Here's how:
1. Click Reports at the top menu bar.
2. On the drop-down list, click Customers & Receivables and select Open Invoices report.
3. Change the desired date.
4. You'll see all the outstanding credits in each customer under the Open Balance column.

Thanks for responding. I really appreciate it. Unfortunately, it didn't really solve my problem.
I don't want any negative balances to show. I liked the customer balance summary because it's very succinct and I think that's better to share with the condo owners.
I just want to be able to only show positive balances.
I attempted to do this by changing the amount to >= 0 and the data didn't make any sense when I did that. Is there a way for me to only specify certain condo owners? Again ideally I'd like to use the customer balance summary report but I'm fine using another report. Thanks.
Thanks for following up with the Community, Sziskind.
I'd recommend customizing your report and displaying columns by Customer:Job.
Here's how:

Thanks for your help but this isn't addressing my problem.
I'll include a screenshot to make it clearer.
First of all in display columns there is no option for customer: job.
And how is that going to change it from not showing customers who have a negative balance?
I hope the attached screenshot makes it clearer. I'd like to show the list I've attached without the vendors with the negative amounts (in this -221.14 and -.10)
Thanks
I can share additional information about customizing your report, @Sziskind.
You can set the Amount filter for this Customer Balance Summary report to >= 1.00 instead of 0.
Follow the steps below:

Great idea, thanks.
Not sure why though but it didn't do anything. I'm still getting the same as before. I'm very very perplexed because that should have solved it.
I appreciate you for getting back to us, Sziskind.
