How about the fact that none of your customer service employees can help with any problems I’m experiencing. How about none of them have a clue. Specifically none of them know how to help me link bank transactions that are labeled as part of a project to an actual project? How about that none of them can explain to me how to import or show a payment as income to a project ? How about the fact that I’m not able to create a project to show me profit and loss and no one can do help me. How about that your sales team over sold me on the type of subscriptions and your customer service team could not help me figure out how to change my subscriptions. How about the fact that when I signed up for live bookkeeping and paid $500 QBs applied it to the wrong business and I can’t get a refund. Is that enough for you specifically?
This isn't the kind of experience we want you to have, @atarsio23.
Let me turn the table by addressing each of your concerns and help you complete your tasks in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
I'll start by providing some insights about linking bank transactions to projects. For the time being, the said option is unavailable in QBO. You'll have to add the payment as a new transaction (in the project itself) and utilize the Receive payment feature to show it as income to a project.
With that being said, I encourage you to send suggestions or product recommendations. We'll take them as opportunities to improve the various features of our products.
Furthermore, the Projects feature is accessible using the Plus and Advanced versions of QBO. To set up and manage projects, you'll have to upgrade or change your subscription to the above-mentioned versions. To do this, follow these easy steps:
You can read this article for more details about managing your QBO plan: Upgrade or downgrade your QuickBooks Online subscription.
Once you're done, go ahead and turn on the projects feature so you can track your project's profitability. For the step-by-step guide, please refer to this article: Set up and create projects in QuickBooks Online.
On the other hand, I can see the urgency of getting your QuickBooks Live Bookkeeping issue resolved. Since the Community is a public forum, and we'll need to collect some personal information to pull up your account, I encourage you to reach out to our Customer Care team again. They have all the tools to investigate your subscription and process the necessary refund on your behalf.
Also, you may want to check out one of our Help pages as your reference in managing your business's growth and transactions using QBO: QuickBooks Learn and Support. It includes help articles, Community discussions with other users, and video tutorials, to name a few.
Let me know in the comments if you have other project concerns and questions about managing income and expense transactions in QBO. I'm always ready to help. Take care, and I wish you continued success, @atarsio23.
And all of this is unacceptable. QB is nothing more than a glorified spreadsheet if you can’t link bank transactions to projects. I can organize my bank transactions from my spreadsheet I don’t need QB for that. The purpose of QB was to be able to do more than that and I can’t. That’s unacceptable and no one should pay for that. On another note I have tried multiple times to change my subscription and I always get a message saying I have to call customer service. And I did that today and guess what?? The customer service representative wasn’t able to help me accomplish my task. Go figure. Everything you described here is either not true or flat out wrong. I’ve been fighting with QB all day over this garbage experience and no one helped me accomplished a single task. Not one problem was fixed or addressed. This is how organized crime syndicates act. QB is the equivalent to such an entity. I refuse to pay for this month since I have not been able to do one thing with the help of customer service and accomplish any work at all today. I hope everyone that I worked with today is removed from their position.
