Thank you, i was able to deactivate all of the customers, is there a need to delete the deactivated customers?

You can only make a customer inactive in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Making your customer inactive is also deleting the customer under the customer list. Let me guide you on how.
Please know when deleting a customer in QBO, all transactions associated with them remain within your company data. It'll also delete the sub-customer under the deleted parent customer.
By going to the Customer menu, there's an option on the Gear icon that will show you how to restore deleted customers.
