Differentiating full time, part time, and owner wages on P&L report

Hi, I'm part of a franchise system.  They have a new requirement that my P&L shows different line items for full time, part time, and owner wages.  I use Quickbooks Online for both Payroll and Bookkeeping.  The Payroll information is automatically loaded into the P&L reports without any manual entry, and there is no differentiation.  Is there a way to make this happen?  Thanks

Differentiating full time, part time, and owner wages on P&L report

I want to ensure this taken care of, srcoghlan.

The option to show line items for full-time, part-time, and owner wages in profit and loss isn't available in QuickBooks Online (QBO). As a workaround, you can run Payroll classes. Once the payroll is open, you can export it to excel and customize your preference.

To export the report:

1.  Go to the Gear icon.

2. Under Tools, select Export Data.

3. On the Reports tab, set the date range to year-to-date.

4. Add items from the Reports/Lists tabs by toggling the slider.

5. Press Export to Excel.

Also, QBO provides payroll reports that'll give you useful details about your business and employees. If you wish to know more about them, you can refer to this article: Run payroll reports. It includes steps about printing, customizing, and marking them as your favorite.

In case you have other payroll concerns or inquiries about managing employees in QBO, just drop your comments below and I'll be glad to help. Take care and stay safe!
