Disable TAG field

I can see here how important it is for you to remove the Tag field. However, currently, we're unable to disable this feature in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Tags are customizable labels that let you track your money and get more profound insights into how your business is doing.

For now, you may consider importing your own form style. By doing so, you have full control over what information or field is shown on your invoice. Then, you can refer to this reference on how to record your customer payment.

Importing an invoice template won't remove the TAG feature in QuickBooks Online.

Once this function is enabled in the system, you'll see it in the program even if you turn off the feature. You can send feedback so we know what aspect of the program you want to add or change.

Let me show you how:

1. elect the Gear icon at the top, then Feedback.
2. Enter your comments or product suggestions then select Next.
3. You'll be provided a list of suggested Help articles related to your comment. You can read through them or select Skip and send message.
4. From the drop-down, choose the appropriate category, then select Send message.

I completely agree that we should be able to disable this field!  It is totally useless for our company and having to tab through it every time I enter a transaction is a waist of my time! 

Totally agree - I do not want or need this extra step in posting - its why I use classes for heavens sake!!!!!

There is already a lengthy thread about this at https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/reports-and-accounting/turn-off-tags/00/667140. It seems very clear that Quickbooks are ignoring pretty much all requests for changes to the software.

I am increasingly coming to the conclusion that Quickbooks is basically aimed at small, individual traders who are invoicing customers on the go, and is really not suitable for larger or professional settings. The list of stupid little irritations continues to grow, from tags that no one wants, to new customers defaulting to the individual name rather than company name, to an emailing system that winds up with 30% of emails in spam folders, to inability to quickly edit customer details whe doing invoices, etc. etc. It's looking like it's time to check out the competition for something more professional.

The Tag feature is obviously not a success.

With constant price increases, the least Quickbooks online can do is to provide Hide option when introducing intrusive and work-hindering features like this one.
