Discount Report

I am currently trying to find a way to run a report that gives me the dollar amount in discounts for 2019. I have run a report for products that will give me the amount when discount was put in as a line item, however I am looking to get the total for discounts performed as a drop down item after the total is tallied at the bottom via percentage or value. Does anyone know how I can find this number when it is not a line item?

We're glad to have you back and be able to help further with your concern, dso0216.

We can start checking the reporting period since QuickBooks reports will generate depending on the date you've set up on it. At the header part of the report, you'll see fields where you can filter some information for this report.

One of these fields gives us an option where we can set the date. You can take a look at to my sample screenshot below:

Discount Report

Hi there, @Blake. Welcome to the Community!

I'm happy to help you find a report to show discounts. Running the report is super easy and only takes a few moments. Check it out:

  1. Go to Accounting, then Chart of Accounts.
  2. Search for your Discount account, then click Run report under the Action column.
  3. Change the Report period filter to Last Year.
  4. Hit Run report.

That's it! Please reach out if there's anything else I can do to help, I'm determined to be your number one resource for QuickBooks Online. Have a great week!
