Hi,
We want to do calls to our own quickbooks access, but I don't see any other way than using oauth. As the refresh token is only valid for 100 days, how can we have a backend that keeps doing calls without having to login and update the token every 100 days?
Is there another way to make api calls than using oauth?
Joining in to assist you, @alexandregrin.
I'm here to help make sure you get the best support available so you can do calls for access in QuickBooks Online.
Working with QuickBooks via an app integration such as an API, SDK software, and the like is addressed by our team separately consisting of experts in the field of programming.
Therefore, I suggest contacting directly our developer team and letting them know about how you wanted to make calls for access using QuickBooks. You can do so by following the steps below:
For now, I'm adding this reference so you're able to track the status of the discussion you've started and as well as get the latest updates from our developer team: Intuit Developer Blog.
It'll always be my pleasure to help if you've got other questions aside from working with application integrations in QuickBooks. Use the Reply button below to leave your comment so that I can lend a hand. Take care always and stay safe!
Hi,
I can't follow the steps you mention, it tells me I don't have a developer account, which I don't understand because it's been days I am having this developer account.
Thanks for getting back here and sharing updates, alexandregrin.
I'll share another way of reaching out to our Developer Support Team without logging in to an account. Here's how:
Here's how:
They can also check why you're getting an error message that you don't have an account and help you further with this.
Let me know if you're able to post your question in the developer's forum. We're always here if you need anything else with QBO.
Hi,
I have the same problem.... when I want to ask a question it asks me to sign in again, and I get the same error.
Could someone help me solve this issue?
Thank you for following up with us, Alexander. I've got some additional troubleshooting steps to isolate the error you're getting.
The steps provided by my colleagues above should help you post your concerns or queries to our developer team. Since you're asked to sign in again, I'd suggest performing the steps through a private window to narrow the result. The stored cache on the browser you're using may affect this behavior.
Here are the keyboard shortcuts to save you time:
If it works, clear the cache of your main browser to remove browser history. Otherwise, use another supported browser as an alternative.
If you have questions about QuickBooks, you can read through our self-help articles for your future reference.

same problem with a private window on Chrome, and with Safari (which I never used to sign in with quickbooks).
So what's the next step here?

same problem again, I can't send a message to the support because it tells me to sign in. I sign in and it tells me again that I don't have a developer account.

Hello,
I already have a developer account.... I created a sandbox company, I was able to make calls.
The only issue there is that the help center does not work with my developper account.
I could delete my account and create another one to see if ti works.
Hello, alexandregrin.
I appreciate your patience. We just got a response. And yes, our developers team recommends that you can delete and recreate a new account. Once done, you can contact our support team so they can investigate why you're having trouble with your original login. Here's how to reach them:

Hi there, alexandregrin.
By the way, we encourage you to update us anytime if you're still having issues with your account even if you've already created another one. This way, we'll be able to know if you're still experiencing the same.
However, if you're still having issue, it's better if you can send a screenshot so we'll be able to identify and check the root cause of your concern.
