Thanks for stopping by the Community today. I'm happy to help, while you can't completely delete the Schedule payment function, you can put a pause on it. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Under the Lists, select Recurring transactions.
  3. Click the Edit drop-down arrow in the scheduled payment section you want to turn off.
  4. Choose the Pause option, then click Pause to confirm the action.

Should you find yourself wanting to use the schedule payments option in the future I recommend checking out this link, highlighting the restarting recurring invoices function. This just showed up in my vendor payments.  This is NOT something i will do thru quickbooks as my vendor already has an online payment portal that I MUST use.

 

Quickbooks please put this back the way it was or let us turn it off.

 

I have no recurring payments and don't do online bill pay thru quickbooks.

I can share a few insights about this, @tserreyn,

 

The Schedule payment option is a new feature in QuickBooks for customers who wants to activate Online Bill Pay and process payments online. We're unable to turn this functionality off at the moment.

 

Since you're recording the bill payment manually, use the Mark as paid option. It works the same way as Make a Payment function from the previous version. See the following snapshot:

Do you know how to delete "schedule payment" option? I just want to "make payment". We don't do bill pay.

I inadvertently clicked "Schedule a Payment" with the intention to schedule printing a check for a vendor bill. Now QB marks all my bills as "Schedule a Payment". Since the bill is not paid, I don't want to mark it as paid. How do I totally turn off the "Schedule a Payment" feature?

 

Please help!
