Do you know if the purchase order field on an invoice can have the characters increased? I have a long PO number from a customer and it doesn't fit.

The option to increase the number of characters that can be entered on an invoice field is unavailable in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

I can see how this option would be helpful for you and your business. Therefore, let me take note of this as a suggestion to improve your QuickBooks experience.

You can also send your own feedback to our developers. This way, they can review your request and most likely include it in our future updates.

Here's how:
 

1. Select the Gear icon at the top, then Feedback.
2. Enter your comments or product suggestions. Then select Next to submit feedback.

We use QB Desktop Pro. The field length is pretty small. We order many commercial items. Our description column is twice as wide as the number of characters we can enter

The ability to adjust the field when creating your purchase order will be a great addition to the current features that we have. 

I invite you to provide input to our developers so that this feature can be added to future releases. Rest assured, I'll do the same on my end.

Here's how:

1. Select Send Feedback Online from the Help menu.
2. Click the Product Suggestion from the drop-down menu.
3. Fill out the on-screen instructions in the QuickBooks Feedback window.
4. After that, click Send Feedback.
