Join nowWhen I run a report in QuickBooks desktop, the doc size, which is in the lower left-hand corner of the screen, is 25.80 x 36.11 inches instead of 8.5 x 11.0. When I print a report, this is the page size the program is using so the type is really small. I cannot find where in the program the doc size is or how to change it. This is not a setting in the report itself, but appears to be a program setting because it's impacting more than one company file. I did a reconciliation about a month ago in one of these company files, and the doc size is 8.50 x 11.0 so this change has occurred in the past month. Anyone know how to fix this?
I can walk you through fixing printing issues within the system, PPalmer.
Do you get the same outcome when you save the report as PDF first and then print it afterward? To start troubleshooting, you can update QuickBooks Desktop to its latest release to get the recent features and fixes. Here's how:
Print the report again and be sure that that printing preferences and settings are correct like the paper size, scale, and margins.
If you get the same thing, you can use this link on how to troubleshoot PDF and Print problems with QuickBooks Desktop.
Keep me posted on how this works. I'll be around to help. Take care!
I followed your directions, but it did not fix the problem. QB has the page size as 25.80 x 36.11 in the report screen before printing. There's nothing I can change in the print function to convert it to a 8.5 x 11.0 size.
I'm here to ensure you're able to adjust the report's format size, PPalmer.
The size may change depending on the printer's settings. We can go to the Printer Setup tab to check and make some changes if needed.
Here's how:
You can also use our QuickBooks Tool Hub file to fix common printing issues.
Additionally, I recommend memorizing your reports in QuickBooks. This helps you save the current customized settings.
I suggest getting back on this thread if you'll need assistance managing reports. I'm always here to back you up.
I had already tried the file / printer setting option. This appeared to be a program glitch vs a setting issue.
The Tool Hub did fix the glitch.
Thank you!
