Does QuickBooks online offer multi-company discounts? I have three companies now, and it feels like moving to QuickBooks desktop a better option considering the cost

I have three companies. almost paying 6 - 8 times that desktop edition, and doesn't support multi company transactions. wondering if QuickBooks have any promotions to reduce cost in such scenarios

While there are no publicly published discounts available (you can always call sales and ask) one method available to reduce your costs is to obtain Pro Advisor status and using the free Accountant version of QBO add all your companies to your now available "professional" discount. All you might need is a second email address to get started and from one of your existing companies, add yourself as an accountant user.  You will then get a link to set up your Accountant version. There are additional tools available plus discounts plus ability to more easily access all your files.

QBO Pro Advisor status is free and the extra instructions you will master to pass the tests will no doubt help you in the long run

I would recommend migrating your QBO accounts to QB Desktop Pro/Premier with a one time license. Deploy a private cloud if required.

Looks like that's what Intuit is encouraging. Yearly cost of QB accounting desktop is nearly same as my monthly bill.

Created the Pro/Accountant account - and talked to both sales and support groups as well.  While accountant portal is a lot more powerful with lot more features, cost wise it hurts as Intuit seems to be hell-bent on not giving any discount for existing exists moved to managing by the Pro account. While I understand their logic and protections of not being abused by route, it hurts from the cost standpoint. A typical software company has three entities for liability reasons - and it is hard to justify QBO pricing - especially when enterprise platforms like Microsoft Dynamics price is reduced and natively supports multi-company model.

Check your PM. Hope it helps. If you are switching to QB Desktop Pro/Premier, you can purchase a one time license of it. You don't need to purchase QBD Plus (a yearly subscription).
