Join nowI was wondering what the best way to log these e-transfers. I have an e-transfer that was sent, then canceled by the supplier, then out of my account again. I now have a $xxx Spent, a $xxx received and $xxx Spent all logged in the bank account section in Quickbooks. Should I just exclude one sent and the only received and just log the one spent ?
Hello @TG81,
Let me help share information about recording your e-transfer transfer transaction so you can keep your account balance accurate.
Ideally, transactions that have been cleared in your bank and downloaded into QuickBooks is recommended to be logged or recorded in your bank account. This way, it won't mess up the difference of your bank account balance in case you need to start your reconciliation.
For the detailed steps about how you can review your downloaded transactions, you can follow them and be guided with this article: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.
Additionally, I've also included this helpful article for the steps in case you need to start balancing your account register: How to reconcile your accounts so they always match your bank and credit card statements?
If you have any other questions, please let me know by leaving any comments below. I'll be here t lend a hand.
