Hi there, katjpedersen-gma.
Thank you for visiting the QuickBooks Community. I'll ensure you'll be able to view the detailed information about your time entries that are being recorded in the system.
Based on the tag that I've seen on your post, it seems you're using QuickBooks Self-Employed. If that's the QuickBooks version you're using, know that there's no tab called Time Entry in that account. It's only available in QuickBooks Online, the version for small business owners. If you're utilizing this subscription, you can customize the columns on the timesheets so you'll be able to see the details or to whom the time entries belong.
Here's how:
For additional details, you can open this article: Track and manage timesheets in QuickBooks Online. This also provides steps on how you can edit time.
If the issue continues to occur, I recommend logging in to the QuickBooks account using a private browser. This is to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue, and private browsing doesn't store local files or cache.
Use these keyboard shortcuts based on the browser you're using:
If it works in incognito, I recommend clearing the cache of your regular browser. This removes the history or log of sites so you can start with a clean slate. You can check this article to see the steps: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online.
If the steps above didn't work, use another supported browser as an alternative.
Lastly, you may refer to each article below to see the contrast between QBSE and QBO and how it works differently.
Let me know if there's anything else you need help with time entries. I'm always here to help you anytime. Take care and keep safe!
Hi ChristieAnn! I appreciate you trying to help, but I'm not sure you understand what I'm saying.
As you can see from the attached screenshot, I do have a Time Entry tab on Quickbooks Self-Employed Online. I've been using it for the past 2+ months and until today all of my clients showed up on that dropdown, and all of my time entries had a client. Now, none of them do. So I have no clue who I should bill for which time entry. Why did all of my clients disappear?
To make matters worse, I just tried to add a client there, so I could track time today, and the client immediately disappeared after I clicked Save. (See attached.) This is so unfortunate. I was really counting on this tool. I had no idea it would suddenly stop working, even though it's in Beta.
Hi @katjpedersen-gma. Thank you for sharing replicated details and screenshots.
I heard you, and I've checked my resources and found out that there's an open investigation with the Time feature where the client's name is disappearing. The case code is INV-68619. A few customers reported this beta issue in which the client's name has vanished from the feature.
On the other hand, since this is a beta, other customers may not have this feature or tab in QuickBooks Self-Employed. This is the reason my peer wasn't able to see this feature.
We understand that this is crucial to your business. In this case, I recommend contacting our Customer Care support. They have the tools to attach your account to the investigation and help notify you via email once our product engineers fix the issue.
