Join nowI use QBO. Is there a way to download an expense report for a specific timeframe and also download the receipts that are attached to the expenses?
I only see under the "gear", go to attachments and i can pick each individual receipt, but they only sort by date of upload not the date of the actual expense. You would think that they would be filtered by date of receipt, not by the date that I upload them. This makes things very difficult for people that only upload receipts quarterly, or once per month.
Hi there, jcicco1991.
I can share some information about the attached receipt in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
The option to download an Expense Report with the attached receipt isn't available in QuickBooks Online. You'll have to open one transaction at a time to download them.
Meanwhile, feel free to read this article to learn more about attachments in QuickBooks Online. This way, you'll have an overview of how to manage your attachments in the future.
Let me know if have further concerns with attachments in QuickBooks. I'm always here to help.
Is this something available in another version of QuickBooks, or is this not an available feature? I just don't understand why they make us fill out so much information for each receipt and then not have the resources to export in bulk, when a business can have a lot of transactions.
Hi there, @jcicco1991.
Thanks for replying back here in the thread.
There is currently no way to download an expense report that incorporates a receipt in all QuickBooks Online (QBO) plans. Having the option to do so is actually a great idea.
What we can do is send a request for this feature to our product developers so that it'll be considered for future updates. We suggest sending feedback by following the steps below:
Another easy way to share your feedback is to enter them through this link: QuickBooks Online Feature Requests.
In the meantime, I suggest following the workaround shared by @LeizylM above which is to open one transaction at a time to download them.
Additionally, I've added an article that will guide you in case you want to view, edit, or delete attachments: Add or delete attachments in QuickBooks Online.
