General Journal Lines

I am in the middle of posting a breakout General Journal Entry, maybe 50 lines.  I have posted about 20 of them, but the page won't continue for me to enter.  There is no "add lines" on the bottom or anywhere on the screen.  How do I continue?  Thank you.

General Journal Lines

Let's perform some troubleshooting steps to get this sorted out, SVRotary1.

I've tried posting a breakout General Journal Entry for more than 50 lines and it works on my end. To proceed to the next line, just click the bank account on the Account column and tap the Down Arrow on your keyboard. If you need to add a line in between existing entries, choose Insert Line from the Edit menu with the form open. You can also press Ctrl-Insert on your keyboard.

If the same something happens, there may be a damaged data on the company file you've been working with. We can run the Rebuild Data tool is built-in to fix any company file data issues. Just follow the steps and detail in the Fix data damage on your QuickBooks Desktop company file article. We can also repair your QuickBooks Desktop to fix any damaged components in the software. Once done, try entering the journal entry in QuickBooks again:

  1. Go to the Company menu.
  2. Choose to Make General Journal Entries.
  3. Enter the journal details.
  4. Click the Save and Close button.

Once completed, you can run the Journal reports. Here’s how:

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Select Accountant & Taxes.
  3. Choose Journal.

I'd like to know how you get on after trying the steps as I want to ensure this is resolved for you. Just reply to this post and I'll get back to you. You have a good one.
