Hello, I need to cancel transaction number 22 and 26, contractor provide wrong bank account information Thank you

I'll share with you the two options on how to cancel your direct deposit payment for your contractor, @filicexpress

If the transaction numbers 22 and 26 are still unprocessed, you'll have the option to void or delete them until 5 pm PST. Let me guide you how.

  1. Go to Expenses from the left menu.
  2. Select Expenses.
  3. Find the transaction number 22 and click on it to open.
  4. At the bottom of the page, select More.
  5. Coose Void or Delete
  6. Click Yes to confirm.
  7. Repeat the process for the transaction number 26.

The screenshot below shows you the fourth to fifth steps.

If the transactions are already processed, there isn't a way to cancel them. You'll have to create a journal entry to offset the amounts and make an internal agreement with the contractor you've paid.

For detailed instructions, see the Can I void or delete the contractor direct deposit? How? section through this article: Contractor Direct Deposit. This link also provides you the direct deposit’s accessibility, billing, accounting and its setup.

Once done, you can change the contractor's bank account information from the Contractors menu. This ensures you're able to deposit the payment through his correct account. Here's how:

  1. Go to Workers from the left menu.
  2. Select Contractors.
  3. Choose the contractor's name.
  4. In the contractor's profile, select Change bank under Payment details.
  5. Update the bank info.
  6. Click Save.

Also, you can re-invite your contractor so he can securely enter his accurate bank account details.

I'm just a comment away if you have other concerns. Have a great day, @filicexpress
