How do I enter multiple classes on the daily sales receipt?

I'm using QuickBooks Premier Retail Edition 2016. We have 2 forms of income. Sales from repairs/service and sales of inventory. I have created a repair class and an inventory class to be able to track our salaries, supplies, use items and the incomes from the two departments. When I go to the Retail - enter daily sales, the class is at the top and not on each line item. My daily sales receipts include both repairs and inventory sales. Is there a way to class the line items that I'm not seeing? Can I enter multiple receipts for the same day otherwise?

How do I enter multiple classes on the daily sales receipt?

Open one of your Daily Sales Summary, in the top banner click on Formatting.

Click on Customize Data Layout

You will probably find that in Columns that Class is not selected. Select it to show onscreen and/or in print

When I do this, the change is not saved.  How do I save it?  I have been looking for the "Layout Designer" referred to in Help to do this but it never says where it is found.

Here are support articles for Templates for QB Desktop:

https://community.intuit.com/articles/1501564-troubleshoot-common-issues-when-using-and-customizing-...

The Class at the top will be the Default class on every line item, unless you Manually select what you want; that means you need to reveal Class in the Columns for that template. You also would Reiterate the line items to Allocate that same thing over and over by Class.
