Hi, I made some purchases with my credit card, filed them as expenses in QB, now I returned some items. where do I enter that money back? thanks

It's always great to see a new face here in the Community. The best way to record the money coming back in is with a Journal Entry. Before doing the steps below on how to create one, I recommend consulting with your accountant to be sure that this is the best way to record these transactions for your unique business. 

 

  1. Open QuickBooks. 
  2. Click on the +New button on the left-hand menu bar. 
  3. Under "Other," choose Journal entry
  4. Enter all information needed to complete the entry. 
  5. Once you're done, select Save and New or Save and Close

 

It's that easy! If you run into any trouble, you can check out this link about how to create a Journal Entry in QuickBooks Online
