It's possible that the old company name your customers have seen is your old Doing Business As (DBA) name. This info is the name they see on their receipts. This is why your company name doesn't show in their credit card payments.

I had similar issue. Try this instead:
Click on gear (upper right)
1) Under Your Company: Accounts and settings
2) Payments
3) Under Merchant details > Manage Account
4) Goes into Quickbook Payments
5) Under Account-Self-Service >Edit Business Info, Deposit Bank Account
6) Under Account Holder/Bus Info, Edit and update your name.
