How can I change text to bold or italic?

Hi there, Davis. I can share some information about the invoice customization process in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

In QuickBooks Self-Employed, the customization section of invoices only allows us to change the font style, color and add a logo. Thus, the ability to highlight specific parts is unavailable. 

I can see the importance of being able to highlight specific parts of your invoices to draw attention to important information. Like you, I'm also looking forward to having this ability in QuickBooks Self-Employed as this will not only address your personal needs but other customers as well who've been wanting to customize their invoices to better their communication with their customers. Rest assured, I will make sure to pass along your feedback to our dedicated Product Developers. They are constantly working on improving the software and considering customer suggestions for future updates.

1. Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner.
2. Select Feedback under Profile.

They keep taking control away from users. The ability to bold or underline words and phrases on Estimates and Invoices has been requested since they switched from QB Desktop to QB Online. Now, the new 2024 default template is taking away even more features... And they're sure to tell you that you won't have a choice, except to use their design, regardless of your needs as a customer. Please listen to your customers and give us more template design customization and Estimate/Invoice text type features. Thanks!
