Buy nowWe have some items where the user pays the amount on three parameters - duration, quantity and rate. I used the "Custom Fields" in Items list to add "duration" column. I have also added the custom field to the invoice template. Now, whenever I use the new template now, the amount is only calculated using the rate and quantity (default fields of QB). How can we add "duration" as a multiplier on the amount?

Here is a copy of my submission:
We use QuickBooks Desktop pro. Request you to - Add an optional default field in "Invoice Templates" for "duration" , and calculate Item Amount by multiplication of Quantity x Rate x Duration.
Allow us/user to enable the "Duration" column in our Invoice Template and use this as required.
We tried using Custom Fields, but we don't have option to change the "amount" column formula. So custom field doesn't work in this situation.
Use Case: Since pandemic - most of the services have become time-based services (or even Seasonal Services) - where we are contracted to provide "n" hours of services per month for "m" months at "o" rate. We currently multiply "n" and "m" use the value as quantity. The clients are not happy about the current invoicing, and this calculation is also an overhead on us.
