How can I edit customer information?

Welcome to the Community, msie814446.

You can edit customer profiles by clicking your Edit customer info option while editing an invoice.

I tested this out myself in our test drive account and noticed nothing happened after I selected the link.

Here's an image showing my experience:

After noticing this, I reviewed our ongoing/solved investigations to see if there's any reports of this occurring for other users. I can confirm there's currently an ongoing investigation into this issue that began yesterday.

If you'd like to, you can get in touch with our Customer Care team and reference the investigation's case number (INV-95281). They'll be able to pull it up and add your account to our list of affected users. This assures you'll receive email notifications about any updates relating to our investigation.

They can be reached while you're signed in.

Here's how:

  1. Use the Help (?) icon.
  2. Click Contact Us.
  3. Enter a description of your situation in the What can we help you with? text box.
  4. Hit Continue.
  5. Select Chat with us or Have us call you.

Be sure to review their support hours so you'll know when agents are available.

If there's any questions, I'm just a post away. Have a wonderful weekend!

How can I edit customer information?

Jesus, I've been using Quickbooks for 20 years, and you make constant stupid changes, I can no longer edit customers, You "Modernized the experience again"  and you removed the edit button, but added some AI b, as if I'd trust you with that.

How can I edit customer information?

I see how the missing option to edit customers affects your experience when tracking your transactions, aardvark32. I'm here to help you overcome the issue by providing relevant troubleshooting. Allow me to walk you through the process here.

Upon checking with our tools, the Edit customer info option used to modify customer details is still available in QuickBooks Self-Employed. You can locate it under the customer's name in an invoice. Here's a screenshot for reference:

Since the feature is missing at your end, we can troubleshoot your browser to isolate issues related to corrupted cache files. These outdated data can cause unusual behavior, including missing buttons. We can avoid them by utilizing a private window when accessing your company.

To begin with, utilize these keyboard shortcuts depending on your browser:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Shift + Ctrl + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N

Once it works, clear the cache from your regular browser to refresh the website preferences. Alternatively, you can use another supported browser if the issue persists.

On the other hand, if you need to acquire a detailed list of your transactions and export them into a CSV file, you may browse this material for guidance: Export transactions and get reports in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
