How can I get QB to stop asking me if I would recommend it to someone or if I like the program?

Good morning, @ticekitchens.

Thanks for taking the time to reach out to the QuickBooks Community. I hope you're having a great day so far.

The pop-ups are intended to assist our users in effortlessly exploring QBO. The survey helps our engineers to see how they can improve QuickBooks. Since this interferes with your ability to conduct business, I suggest selecting the X or No, thanks buttons to remove the pop-up windows.

Another option is to turn on your browser's pop-up blocker. This stops pop-up windows from appearing. I’ll show you how:

  1. Click the lock icon to the left of the address bar. 2.PNG
  2. Select Site Settings (Google Chrome) or Permission for this site (Mozilla browser).
  3. Hover to the Pop-ups and redirects section, and select Block from the drop-down menu.2.PNG

For Safari browser:

  1. Open your Safari browser.
  2. Click Safari, then Preferences
  3. Select Websites at the top
  4. Click Pop-up Windows on the left sidebar
  5. Then select Block in the pop-up menu for the website.

That should do the trick. Please let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with. Take care!

Thanks for the reply Tori.  I just checked my Chrome settings and it's already set to block Pop-ups and redirects so I shouldn't be seeing them if that works.  Is there something about that type of pop-up that allows it to ignore the settings?  What is another step to ensure the setting works?

Thanks for the reply Tori.  I just checked my Chrome settings just as you described and I do have it set to block pop-ups.  I then dug a little further to find that it was set to allow for QBO specifically.  I'd bet that I had to enable pop-ups on the site to accommodate some sort of necessary functionality in using the program like when I create an invoice, I'm pretty sure it pops up a new window.  Do you know of any limiting functionality that I'll experience by blocking pop-ups?  It really should be a setting within QBO to turn off feedback pop-ups.

Hello there, ticekitchens.

The pop-up advertisements are designed to suggest and guide you on how to optimize your experience with QuickBooks. It'll also introduce you with some updates that the system launched. If you want to remove those ads, you can manually close them by selecting the X sign or the No thanks button. Doing so will prevent the ads from appearing again.

However, turning off the pop-ups within your QuickBooks Online account isn't an option. I can see how this feature would be helpful for you and your business. In the meantime, I suggest submitting this request directly to our product engineers through feedback. Your input helps us enhance the program's features.

To send feedback, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the Gear icon at the top.
  2. Select Feedback.
  3. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
  4. Then select Next to submit feedback.

If there is anything else we can do to assist you, feel free to post again, ticekitchens. We'll be right here to provide you with answers.
