How can I print the details of a bill I entered?

Hello QB Online, 

My business also needs to print a bill to send to send back to vendors. Do you think this feature will be added in the near future? I like that QB Desktop has this feature.

For now, not all features in the Desktop version is already available in QBO, annguyenarg.

We're also unable to provide a timeline when will be added in QuickBooks Online. I recommend checking out this website from time to time to see the later updates and newly added features in the program: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/blog/whats-new/.

In the meantime, you can follow the work around given in the original response on how to print the details of the bill. There's also an option to use an accredited third-party app that offers this type of service. Just go to the Apps menu and proceed to the Find Apps tab.

Hi, did you ever discovered what app they are referring to? We have the same requirement of needing to print our bills to send to suppliers.

We're unable to suggest a specific app, @Kim0987.

I recommend checking out this site: apps.intuit.com or navigating the Apps menu in your QuickBooks Online account. Choose Find Apps,enter your keyword on the search box, and look for an app that will help you print bills. From there, you can read some reviews from other customers, check some commonly-asked questions about it, etc. Please see the screenshot below for visual guide:

If you wish to personalize the said report, you'll want to customize it. This way, you can save its current customization settings and access it anytime in the Custom reports tab. For more details, please review this resource: Memorize reports in QuickBooks Online.

This is pretty crazy, there is no ability in the software to print a bill?!  That is so basic to just be able to print a bill out on a piece of paper.  This is a MAJOR oversight and is something that development needs to prioritize, very simple and basic functionality!

yeah, some of the shortcomings in QBO are just ridiculous.

I have the same need with Quickbooks desktop for Mac.  I don't see how to print just 1 vendor from the transaction list by vendor report.  Currently I create the bill, then screen shot it and paste into an email to the vendor so they can see the breakdown.  The ability to print a bill with detail would be greatly appreciated

Since we are unable to provide a specific time frame as to when the said option will be available in the future. With this, I encourage you to submit feedback. These requests and suggestions are forwarded to the Product Development Team for consideration in future updates. 

Here's how:

1. Go to QuickBooks at the top menu bar.
2. Select Preferences.
3. From there, choose Feedback.
4. On the Preferences pane, click Feedback and enter your suggestions.

printing a BILL ?!?!?!?! how is this something that needs to be asked for? OBSCENE

Hi. Saw another thread that suggested how to print what you need. Once you save the bill, click More (bottom of screen) > Transaction Journal > Small Gear Icon (Report Settings). Customize it to show what you need and then you can save, print or email.  If you need to use this report frequently or in bulk, you can click the 'Save customization' button. Hope this helps

This does not solve the problem presented!  Please stop offering it as a solution!

While this doesn't print the bill itself, this has been the only workaround that even comes close as it can provide a detailed list of what is on the bill.  Thank you for this!
