How can I set up a monthly income and expense report

To set up a monthly income and expense report in QuickBooks Online (QBO), generate and customize the Profit and Loss by Month report, then save it for easy future access, moncoems301.

 

Using the report mentioned above, you can regularly monitor your monthly income and expenses. Here’s how to access and customize it in the modern view:

 

  1. Go to the Reports menu and select the Standard reports section.
  2. Search for the Profit and Loss by Month report in the Type report name here field, or go to the Business overview section and select it to open its details.
  3. Customize if necessary. If you'll only need to see the data for a specific month, you can manually set the date in the Report period field. 80.png

 

After that, you can opt to save the customized Profit and Loss by Month report for easy data accessibility and share it with others in your team.
