Hello there, lramirez-advance.
Glad to see you in the Community today. Allow me to share insight into your query on how to set up fixed pricing for customers in QuickBooks Online.
The price rules feature in QuickBooks Online (QBO) are exclusive for individual products and services. You can offer discounts or charge different rates by item. You can also offer them to only certain customers for a specified amount of time.
Here's how:
You'll have to turn on this feature in the company settings.
Once done, set up a price rule.
There are several ways you can customize price rules, and we've listed them in this article: Set Price Rules in QuickBooks Online.
Additionally, I've included an article about adding a discount to your customer. This helps you ensure all the transactions are recorded accurately in QuickBooks: Add a Discount To an Invoice or Sales Receipt.
You can always get back here in the Community for additional QuickBooks-related questions. Doing so helps us to further explain everything to you.
Hi there,
I don't seem to have that feature / option in Account Settings -> Sales ?
Any ideas ?
Thanks.
Simon.
Hello there, Simon.
I can definitely guide you through the process of setting up price rules in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Could you provide additional information about the version of QuickBooks you are currently using? This option is currently available in QBO Plus and Advanced.
If you're subscribed to either QBO Plus or Advanced and don't have this feature, I suggest clearing your cookies and cache. There are times when the piled-up cache in your regular browser caused this unusual behavior. You can refer to this article for more information about clearing cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online.
If you're subscribed to either QBO Simple Start or Essentials, you may consider upgrading your current subscription to set price rules in QBO. You can upgrade your subscription from the Account and Settings. Follow the steps below:
Refer to this article for more information about choosing a new plan and then upgrading your subscription in QBO: Upgrade or downgrade your QuickBooks Online edition.
From here, you can now set price rules in QuickBooks Online. Then, apply it when creating an invoice in QBO.
Let me know if you need further help or questions about price rules. I'm always here to assist. Have a wonderful day!
Hi there,
We have QB Plus. I've refreshed and deleted the cache and the setting it still not visible in the Account Settings -> Products and Services setting.
Any ideas ?
Thanks
Simon.
Hi Simon,
I appreciate you for refreshing and deleting the browser cache to isolate why you're unable to see the Products and services section on the Account and Settings page.
This time, let's log into your account on a different supported browser like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Safari.
If the same issue persists, I suggest reaching out to our phone experts so we can investigate this further. Here's how to contact them:
I've also added this article as your guide in managing your products and services: Add product and service items to QuickBooks Online.
I'm always around whenever you have concerns about adding products and services.
