How can we create a 'Yes' Default for Billable in QB Time?

We currently use QBO and QB Time, but we don't use QBO Payroll. Is there a way to set up a 'Yes' Default for our employees entries in QB Time? Thank you.

How can we create a 'Yes' Default for Billable in QB Time?

I've got a workaround to share so you can set up and create a Yes default for Billable in QuickBooks Time, DS662DAY.

Since you're not using the online payroll, we can remove or archive the No item option from the Billable custom fields. This way, your employees will be prompted to select Yes for every job or customer they clock into. To do this:

  1. In your QuickBooks Time account, go to Feature Add-ons from the left menu panel.
  2. Click on Custom Fields. Then, select the Billable field to edit.
  3. Click on the three-dot icon aligned from the No item option.
  4. Select Archive and click Save.

I've also added a screenshot for reference.

Additionally, you can track and manage your employee's time in many ways while working with their tasks and jobs.

We'll always be around if you have additional queries managing your employees' entries. Just keep us posted in the comments below. Have a good one!
