How do I change the name of an account title/Name?

Welcome to the Community, @gamiller46. I've got some steps to help you correct the name of your account.

No worries, editing an account name from your Chart of Accounts won't remove your account's history. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Accounting menu, then choose Chart of Accounts.
  2. Select the account you want to change the name.
  3. Click the Account history drop-down, then choose Edit.
  4. Enter the correct name and click Save and Close.

For future reference, read through this article: Understand the chart of accounts in QuickBooks. It helps you learn about organizing your chart of accounts. It also contains links to different topics related to the chart of account.

Feel free to drop me a reply below if you have other questions about your chart of accounts @gamiller46. Wishing you all the best!
