How do I create a Statement of Activity by Class showing each month in a fiscal year? Financial accounts would be replaced by Classes. Columns of Classes become months.

I'll share some details about customizing reports, houston.

 

The option to personalize the Statement of Activity by Class report by reordering its columns isn't available in QuickBooks Online (QBO). As a workaround, we can export class reports and modify them according to our preferences. 

 

Here's how: 

 

  1. On your Statement of Activity by Class report, hit the Export icon. 
  2. Choose Export to Excel or Export to PDF

 

Also, we would love to hear your ideas about having this functionality within the program and recommend you submit feedback. This will help us improve your experience with QBO and will be shared with our Product Development Team. 

 

Follow the outlined steps below: 

 

  1. Select the Gear icon, then choose Feedback.
  2. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
  3. Select Next to submit.

Rishika here from Better Reports!

 

I think our app, Better Reports, can show this easily. I have attached a screenshot below that shows the sample report showing the month-wise total income and expense by class.

 

Also, there are other built-in reports available like “Balance sheet”, “Profit and Loss by Vendor”, “Profit & Loss by Account”, etc. We can create custom reports as well, based on your business requirements.

 

It is also possible to filter the report for a specific period and schedule the reports to be sent automatically to your email or Google Drive at a regular cadence.
