Allow me to provide you the details on how you can delete the late fee charge in your customer's invoice.
You can still remove the line item that you've created in QuickBooks. All you have to do is to reopen that transaction and delete it from there. Let me show you how:
- Find the transaction using the Advanced search feature. Using this will help you in locating your invoice with ease.
- Once you find the invoice, click it to open. You can now remove the late fee details. Simply right-click the Product/Services field and delete its info.
- Click Save and close.
In case you've already recorded the payment for this invoice, let's make sure to delete it first before proceeding with the steps above. This way, it won't create credits for your customer. Just open the payment transaction and click More, then select Delete. Finally, click Yes to confirm.
Once done, you can now send the correct invoice to your customer.
