Hello there, @krtharan.
The steps provided by my colleague above is for QuickBooks Online. You'll see a paper clip if there's added a receipt on it. Let me walk you through the process on how to delete a receipt that you uploaded in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
I'm adding a screenshot for visual reference.
Also, I'm adding these helpful articles that you can read about receipts in QBSE:

Thanks for posting to the Community, @krtharan.
Let me help you delete the wrong receipt. It could be you're using the mobile app, that's why you're unable to remove it.
You can delete it by using a browser. Let me show you how:
That should do it.
For more details and FAQs on which receipts you should hold onto and why, you can refer to this article: Should I keep my receipts in QuickBooks?.
Also, I'll add this article if you wanted to get receipts from your email: Receipts forwarding feature.

Thank you for trying to help. I do not see any where I have an option to go to "Banking." The only place I even see anything related to banking is under my name and I can see "Bank Accounts." Where do I find just "Banking"? Also, I only use this program in Windows and not on android/iphone.
Thank you,
Tim
Thank you for trying to help, but I do not have an option for "Banking". All I have under my name is "Bank Accounts" and I can't actually see anything under that. Where is the Banking tab? Also, I don't have a Receipt tab either. I've tried this in both Chrome and Explorer and I'm in Windows, not android/iPhone.
Thank you,
Tim
Thanks for reaching back out, @krtharan.
The Banking tab will be located on the left-hand menu of your QuickBooks Online account. I've provided a screenshot below for reference:
If you don't see this tab, I'd like to do some troubleshooting with you to isolate this behavior and see if it's browser-related.
Let's begin with clearing the cache of the web browser you use for QuickBooks Online. These files can become outdated, causing issues like the one with not having buttons in your QuickBooks Online. No worries, here's a link to help you with the process: Clear Web Browser History.
Once completed, log back into your account and see if the Banking tab appears. If the issue persists, please let me know by leaving me a Reply.
I'll keep an eye out for your response. Talk to you soon, Tim!
I cleared the cache and there still isn't anything there...in fact, the only options I have on the left-hand side of my page is: Home, Transactions, Miles, Taxes, Reports and Invoices. I do not have "Dashboard, Expenses, Sales, Projects, Workers, Accounting, My Accountant, Capital or Apps. Why do I not have these and how can I get them?
Thank you.
Tim

Hello. There is no "Delete" button. I am using a laptop with Chrome. Thank you for trying to help. I also uploaded the wrong receipt and cannot change it. Please see screenshot.
Hello. When I hit the trash bin icon, nothing happens. I gave it time and did it again. And again. And again. Still nothing happens. Please tell me how to delete receipt. I made an error and uploaded the wrong receipt.
Please be advised that sometimes the delete receipt function works and sometimes it does not. It just worked for me on another receipt. However, I am still unable to delete the receipt I originally wrote about.
Thanks for joining in on this thread, @IsabelCS.
We can perform some troubleshooting to see if this is a browser-related cause.
I'd like to start by opening a private or incognito window in your web browser. This will open your account in a clean slate and loads fresh data. Here's how:
Once you're in the private or incognito window, sign in to your QuickBooks Self Employed account and try to delete the receipt. If it works, you can go back to your original browser and clear the cache. Alternatively, you can use other compatible browsers.
Let me know how this goes for you. If the issue persists or you'd like further assistance, please don't hesitate and reach back out to me. I'm always here to help. Take care!
