Hi there, pcdpfoodtruck.
Allow me to help elaborate on the steps to purge your account. You can purge your data if your account is less then 60 days old. The system deletes all data entered into the company, and you're unable to restore or reverse them. To purge the data, follow the steps listed below:
You can read through this article for additional information: Delete QuickBooks Online data and start from scratch. If there's anything more I can do to help, please let me know.
Hi,
I'm using QBO Accountant, and I have a couple of companies for bookkeeping services. If I want to delete all/erase/or clear all COA accounts and fresh start for a single company; how to use the purgecompany function on these individual companies ? Because, if not, the "purgecompany" function would wipe out my own QBO Account account and all other companies under my administration ?
Thanks for your feedback.
As far as I know, the purge feature is not applicable for QBOA. You may open a new QBOA account and migrate your client.
Hello,
We are doing test entries and wanted to clear all data and restart. How do I do that?
Thank you
Cecilia
Hello Cecilia,
You can follow the steps provided by my colleagues on how to start over with your account depending if your books beyond 60 days or not older than 60 days. You can purge your accounts if it's not older than 60 days and you'll need to cancel it and start a new subscription if not.
You can use the steps provided by my colleagues on how to purge your company file and use this link on how to cancel your subscription.
I'll be attaching a few articles that will help you move to another company file and set up your account:
Let me know if there's anything else that you need help with. Take care!
If you are using QBO Simple Start, you should open a new blank account instead.
