I appreciate your interest in importing invoice templates from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online, @info-danwonderly. I’m happy to share some insights regarding this concern.
In the meantime, I agree with Fiat Lux - ASIA's response. We're unable to import invoice templates from QBDT into QBO. Thus, QBO supports DOCX file templates.
Alternatively, you might consider looking for a third-party app in QBO that allows this feature. I'll show you how:
- From the left panel, click Apps.
- Go to the Find Apps tab.
- Use the search bar and enter the keyword to look for an app.
- Choose an app from the list.

Furthermore, you can check this article for the detailed steps on how to import invoice templates in QBO: Import custom form styles for invoices or estimates. It includes the file types to avoid creating a customized invoice form.
Once this is settled, I have an article that'll help you account for your customer payments: Receive invoice payment.
Please let me know if you need clarification about managing invoices, or if there's anything else I can do for you. I'll be standing by for your response. Have a great day, and stay safe.
