How do I import past years bank statements?

What file formats can you request or download from your bank? e.g *.qbo, *.csv, *.pdf

Look no further, I’ve come to show you how to import bank events to QuickBooks, @semcosc-reagan-c.

Importing bank statements to QuickBooks Online isn’t possible. But you can upload your past and recent transactions manually. You just need to log in to your bank or credit card's website and download your transactions. Then, follow the instructions below.

For accounts connected to online banking:

1. Go to your Banking menu, then click the Banking tab.
2. Select the account you want to upload the transactions into.
3. Click the Link account dropdown and then Upload from file.
   
4. Select Drag and drop or select files and pick the file you downloaded from your bank.
5. Press Continue.
   
6. In the QuickBooks account dropdown, choose the account you want to upload the transactions to and tap Continue.
7. Follow the onscreen steps to match the columns and the entries.
8. Select Yes and Done after.

For accounts not connected to online banking:

1. Go to your Transactions or Banking menu, then select the Banking tab.
2. Select Upload transactions.
   
3. Click Drag and drop or select files and choose the file you downloaded from your bank.
4. Click Continue.
   
5. In the QuickBooks account dropdown, choose the account you want to upload the transactions to and tap Continue.
6. Follow the onscreen steps to match the columns on the file with the correct fields in QuickBooks.
7. Press Continue, then go to the transactions you’d like to import.
8. Select Continue and then Yes.
9. Hit Done.

Once uploaded, you're ready to start categorizing or matching your events. Then, you can prepare for the reconciliation process to ensure everything is accurate.
