I can see how your vendor would think that they would need to print out and sign the purchase order. At this time, there isn't a way to customize the form to where the "Approved by and Date" isn't showing. You're only able to customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online

 

However, I'll send feedback to our Product Developers so they can consider this customization in one of the upcoming releases for QuickBooks Online. You can also check out our QuickBooks Blog to always keep updated on what's new in the product.

Thank you, Candice. Is there any timeline available on the upcoming release where this can be taken up? I have seen many others asking the same question on the community and similar responses from QB since more than 2 - 3 years. So if this feedback was given to your Product development team 2 years back, why has this not been implemented yet?

I would like to add my name as someone who would like to see this change. We are regularly audited in order to remain certified, and having this field with no use is a red flag. Please add the ability to remove this!

What is the timeline for making this removable? We are regularly audited in order to retain an industry certification, and having this field on a Purchase Order when we don't use it is a red flag. Please advise.

I also require this to be removed from my POs.  It really confuses my vendors and is a waste of my time to have to "sign' these after I have sent them to the vendor.  Please PLEASE PLEASE, make this so that we can remove it.

I can see how this benefits you and other users to have the ability to remove the Approved By and Date fields. I encourage you to add your vote for this one by sending a feature request in the Feedback section within QuickBooks. Our product development team are always looking for ways to improve our product and provide the best possible experience for our users.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Select the Gear icon at the top, then Feedback.

  2. Enter your comments or product suggestions then select Next.
  3. You'll be provided a list of suggested Help articles related to your comment. You can read through them or select Skip and send message.
  4. From the drop-down, choose the appropriate category, then select Send message.

 

Additionally, you'll want to customize and add custom fields to your sales forms and purchase orders. It can help you create a more professional, efficient, and personalized experience for your customers and your business.

Feedback sent.  This really needs to be changed in this application. It is ridiculous that it is not removeable.
