Hello @ShannaDavidsen,
Thank you for posting here in the Community. I can help you with your printing concern in the QuickBooks mobile app.
There's no printing preference within our mobile app. It automatically detects printers that are already linked to your device.
If your printer supports mobile devices, I recommend setting it up by following the printer's manual. Usually, they'll ask you to install an additional app to help you with the printing.
Once the setup is complete, the printer should be available within our app. Here's how to print an invoice:
For invoice payments, the ability to print directly in the app is unavailable. The same thing with the reports, but you can log into your QuickBooks account using the mobile browser.
From there, you should be able to print transactions and reports. There are also recommendations you might want to check related to printing transactions in mobile through this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/r/tech-review/how-to-print-from-your-mobile-device/.
Also, you can make quick updates to your invoice templates directly in the mobile app. I've included an article you can visit to view the detailed steps: Customize invoices on the QuickBooks Online mobile app.
The Community and I will always be ready to help with any concerns you may have related to printing in QuickBooks. Take care.
When I press the print or preview button it does nothing. When I try to print from the 3 dots on the top right hand corner it will preview the outline of the form but nothing else. My device is set up to print and works elsewhere. Just not with Quickbooks.
Thanks for getting back to us, ShannaDavidsen.
Allow me to chime in and help make sure you can print invoices in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) mobile app.
Since QBO isn't responding after pressing the print or preview button, let's reset your mobile app. There are times that the app's cache gets piled up, causing some unusual behavior.
Here's how to do it:
Once done, try to print the invoices again to double-check. You can refer to this article more information: How to Print From Your Mobile Device.
