How do I set up the system date and time in Quickbooks ?

Hi there, merr418.

You'll need to go in Preferences page to set up the system date and time in Quickbooks Desktop.

Here's how:

1. Click the Edit menu. Then Preferences.

2. Select General from the left side of the Preferences window.

3. Click the Company Preferences tab.

4. Choose Decimal or Minutes from the Time Format section.

  • Decimal: QuickBooks Desktop automatically interprets time entries as decimal fractions; i.e. 7 hours and 30 minutes is represented as 7.5.

  • Minutes: QuickBooks Desktop automatically interprets time entries as hours and minutes; i.e. 7 hours and 30 minutes is represented as 7:30.

Please check this article on how to set up preferences to customize reports in QuickBooks to fit your personal style and business needs: Set report preferences.
