How do I show employee name, rate, and TOTAL billable hours on invoice?

The invoice will not show the employee name and has separate rows for each day. I need a single row, combing the hours. I customized the content and selected "collapse activity" and "show employee name and billing rate," but the invoice still won't display the information properly.

How do I show employee name, rate, and TOTAL billable hours on invoice?

Nice to have you in the Community space, @jenifer-jhrconsu.

I can see how the option to add columns for names and billable hours to an invoice would benefit your business and the program. However, this is currently unavailable in QuickBooks Online. We're also unable to combine the hours and show them in this form.

I want you to know that your opinion is important to us and we value it. I’d suggest sending feedback request to our product development team. They will evaluate these and pick some of them to include in future updates. This way, we can help you with your business needs.

Here’s how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Under the Profile column, click on Feedback.
  3. Share your feedback. Then, click Next.

As a workaround, you can enter your employee’s name into the description or consider adding a custom field to your invoice. You can read through this guide for the detailed instructions: How to add custom fields to sales forms and purchase orders.
